Fathers are important. Fact. So we did a round circle earlier this week (yup, that important) and put together our TOP TEN Father’s Day Gift ideas; no problem.
I’m not even a father and I appreciate receiving a nice shiny new BBQ utensil , tongs, forks, scrapers, bbq lighters, etc, it’s all important and one can never get enough manly BBQ accesories. If you’re really looking to spice this gift up, put together a hand crafted bundle of bbq joy, i.e. package the utensils with sauces, spices and a couple of sirlions, that should make for some great, father-son, father-daughter, father-daughter-son (or whatever the combination is) time.

Let’s face it, what’s better than winding down after a long day’s work, a full stomach and a great flick on the tv, or book in the hand... you guessed it, something to sip on .Depending on what your budgetary restrictions are, you can keep it nice and basic, or go all out and get your father something that’s about his age.

Don’t worry, this is NOT a lame 'tourist' suggestion. Seriously, take your dad out for a couple of hours and do a tour ; wine, beer, scotch, whatever he enjoys. Not only will you spend some valuable time together, you’ll also stay well lubricated and learn a few facts about each other as well. Remember, there’s nothing more valuable than spending some time with the most important people in your life.

Speaking of spending time, why not spend 4-5 hours, or more, working it out on the golf course. If your dad’s a golfer, then we almost guarantee he will enjoy a round of golf, or anything to do with golf for that matter; it’s a golfer thing. So skip on over to your local golf outlet, or golf club, and buy a round, a club, some balls, a golf tee or if you’re in hurry, a gift card (don’t get a gift card)...

Football, Soccer, Basebell or whatever is local and yours pops’ favourite. Sporting tickets are a fantastic gift idea and are sure to be enjoyed by both you and your father; that’s a bonus! If a pair of tickets is a little too rich and you’re thinking lean, just keep it cozy at home, make some nachos, grab a few brews and let good times ensue.

You would be surprised at the number of people that enjoy reading... no really. Why not get your father a great book or magazine. Whether he enjoys cars, sports, mystery, science, humour, or biographies ,hop on over to the local bookstore and pick something up. You can spice the book up by adding a fancy bookmark, or you know, some FlyingFlips FlipFlops...

A watch makes a beautiful gift and quite honestly, it’s my belief that a man can never have enough watches; that’s why they make watch boxes. Whether you want to buy your dad a Timex or a Rolex ,we are pretty sure that he will appreciate the gesture; we would...just e-mail for postal information.

The best gifts are not the most expensive ones, they are the ones that are the most thoughtful; at least that’s what we’ve heard. So here’s the plan: Get a couple of jars, empty them, clean them and set them aside for a minute. Now Google “meat rub recipes”, buy the said ingredients and put into the jar in a layered style. What you’ll get is a different meat rub in each jar, they can be for different meats, different spice levels, etc. Point is, you’ve now just made your father's day because his meat will taste better; credits, you.
